What this site is and isn't

Smart Health Benefits is an informational and rate-comparison site for Working Owner group health plans. It's a starting point. The actual plans are administered by Detego Health LLC and offered through group programs associated with Population Science Management. Binding quotes, enrollment, coverage verification, and any policy changes happen with those administrators and the underlying carriers, not on this site.

Nothing on this site constitutes an offer of insurance, a solicitation in any state where the operator is not licensed to solicit, medical advice, legal advice, or tax advice.

The rate calculator

The rate calculator produces an illustrative estimate based on the inputs you provide and a simplified pricing model. It is not an insurance quote. It does not account for underwriting decisions, carrier-specific adjustments, or plan changes made after this site was published. Actual premiums can and will differ from the estimate. The savings comparison against ACA marketplace, private PPO, and COBRA is derived from publicly reported averages and is directional, not a guarantee.

The provider search

The provider search copies your query to your clipboard and directs you to the carrier's own directory. We do not run the search ourselves. Whether a particular doctor or facility is in-network is determined by the carrier's directory at the moment you check. We are not responsible for directory errors, outdated listings, or network changes.

Who can use this site

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. Access from jurisdictions where the operator's activities would be unlawful is prohibited.

Acceptable use

You agree not to (a) scrape, frame, or republish this site without permission; (b) attempt to interfere with the operation of the site or its security; (c) use automated systems to submit the rate calculator or provider search at volume; (d) use the site to impersonate anyone; (e) reverse-engineer how rates are computed in an attempt to represent estimates as binding quotes.

Third-party links and services

This site links to the suitability check, to Calendly, to carrier directories (Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska, First Health), and to plan comparison documents on 1enrollment.com and flippingbook.com. Those services are operated by other companies under their own terms. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability.

Intellectual property

The site, its design, copy, and code are owned by the operator or licensed from third parties. You get a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to view this site for personal, non-commercial use. All other rights are reserved. Trademarks and logos (Aetna, BCBS, First Health, PSM, PSN, MyLiveDoc, Detego Health, and others) belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification only.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We don't warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that the information on it is current. Rates, state availability, and plan features can change without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator, its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the site. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the site will not exceed $100. Some jurisdictions don't allow the limits above, so they may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the operator harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose law grants you non-waivable protections, nothing in this section deprives you of those protections.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree with an update, stop using the site.
